Up to 20 jobs are to be created with the opening of a brand new branch for Tudor Griffiths Group. Set to be trading in early July, work is said to be progressing well on the six-acre site at Chartwell Park, in Bridgnorth.
The family-owned builders’ services and materials specialist already operates seven builders’ merchants branches and the latest addition will complement its existing branch at Wolverley, just 12 miles away.
Managing Director Tudor Griffiths (pictured, left, with Kevin Gardner) said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our well-known builders’ merchants division to Bridgnorth and it’s extremely exciting to see the new branch taking shape. It’s also fantastic to be able to create up to 20 jobs which we’re sure will bring a real boost to the local area, as well as supplying all the essential services and products that the local building trade requires.”
The new division will stock a full range of building and construction materials, including timber, roofing products, drainage and decorating solutions, as well as some of the most popular lines from the Wolverley branch including garden supplies.
“We’re very proud to be bringing over 11,000 lines of stock to Bridgnorth, and our experienced team will ensure that industry professionals in the local area – and the general public – can get the products they need to get their jobs done,” said Tudor. “We’re particularly pleased that the Bridgnorth branch has allowed us to bring a former brownfield site back into use and create a business that should make a real difference in the local area.”
Tudor Griffiths Group employs more than 250 people working across the English/Welsh border in Shropshire, Cheshire, Worcestershire and mid and north Wales. It also operates 12 ready mixed concrete plants, two sand and gravel quarries, a sea-dredged sand operation, recycling services and skip hire.
