PHG Plumbing Heating Group recently hosted the PHG Supplier Awards at Carden Park Hotel in Chester, following an action-packed day of track driving, golfing, archery and outdoor team building activities including duck herding!
The PHG Supplier Awards celebrate and recognise excellence in the plumbing, heating and bathroom industry with 263 guests from the sector attending the event, including 196 supplier representatives joined by 67 PHG representatives. One of the largest gatherings of plumbing, heating & bathroom suppliers and independent merchants in the industry, the buying group – which was formed in 2012 – now has 14 members operating out of 355 branches in the UK.
PHG Chairman David Pochin said: “It was an enormous pleasure to welcome our PHG suppliers back to Carden Park for this years’ networking and awards dinner. PHG creates a unique opportunity for members and suppliers to mix in a truly informal atmosphere where strong working relationships and great friendships are made.

As part of the celebrations, guests were able to take part in a Trackmaster Day at Oulton Park Circuit or play in a golf competition at Carden Park during the day. Other activities included duck herding, falconry, archery, clay pigeon shooting and access to the spa. This was followed by an Awards Dinner at the Carden Park Hotel in the evening, which included a speech from PHG Chairman David Pochin and the Awards Ceremony. To conclude the evening, stand-up comedian Cally Beaton entertained the audience.
In addition, PHG raised over £4,300 for Alzheimer’s Society after hosting a charity raffle at the event.
