Duftons Plumbing & Heating Supplies has expanded its operations with the opening of two new branches in the North East of England. These new additions bring the company’s total number of branches to 14 in the UK.
The two new branches are located in Durham (main image above) and Stockton-on-Tees, creating new employment opportunities in the local area. To celebrate the opening of both branches, Duftons held two Trade Week Launch events with over 190 people from the plumbing, heating and bathroom sectors in attendance, including representatives from 22 supplier companies including Ideal Heating, Polypipe, EPH, Fernox and UK Cylinders.
The new Durham branch is one of Duftons largest facilities, with an area of 7,000 sq ft and featuring a renewable energy centre, dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter. The Stockton-on-Tees branch, meanwhile, is 4,500 sq ft and features a dedicated bathroom showroom and trade counter.
Duftons is one of the largest independent Plumbing & Heating Merchants in the North of England and notes that, as the market moves to more environmentally friendly heating solutions, it has expanded into renewables to support the transition from fossil fuels to low carbon and energy efficient technologies. The company now offers a full range of renewable products including Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs), Underfloor Heating (UFH), Solar Thermal and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) to provide a more sustainable solution.

The new Durham and Stockton-on-Tees branches join Duftons’ existing branches in Leeds, Beeston, Castleford, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Bingley, Bradford, Thirsk and Gildersome.
