Guernsey-based plumbing and heating specialist Duquemin & Ozanne has joined NBG with the aim of “benefiting from the buying group’s supportive community of like-minded independent merchants.”
After a record year for new additions to NBG in 2024, including six new plumbing and heating merchants, Duquemin & Ozanne is the first plumbing and heating merchant to join NBG in 2025. Servicing the Bailiwick of Guernsey with a wide portfolio of products, Duquemin & Ozanne also offers full in-house design services working with architects, plumbing engineers and homeowners to provide bespoke heating systems and bathrooms.
Having worked with another buying group while in a previous role, Managing Director Martyn Duquemin (pictured below) looked into joining NBG after several conversations with existing NBG Partners. Speaking to Phil Bonar, NBG’s Head of New Partner Development and Recruitment, helped Martyn see the ways in which NBG’s support could help his team to achieve their business goals.
Martyn said: “Knowing other NBG Partners meant we could get a more objective view of how NBG works and how it has helped them. Sitting down with Phil was how we saw just how much we stood to benefit with NBG.
“It’s good to be in a group where we can have our say on the deals and get a more informed understanding of the industry. We now have a large network of new connections, all facing the same challenges we are, that we can share ideas with and learn what’s working for others in our sector. We’re looking forward to growing those relationships and hope that the other Partners will be able to help us as much as we can help them.”
