Huws Gray CEO recognised on Northern Power Women Awards 2026 Advocacy List

Huws Gray Group is proud to share that Chief Executive Officer Daksh Gupta has been named on the 2026 Northern Power Women Advocacy List, marking the first time that a representative from the construction sector has received this accolade.

The list honours male allies who actively champion gender equality and wider inclusivity across organisations and industries. It recognises leaders who use their influence to challenge the status quo, support diverse talent and help create workplaces where everyone can thrive.

Attracting a record-breaking 1,800 nominations, with finalists selected by 90 independent judges across 12 award categories and three Game Changer lists, the award is “recognised as the largest celebration of gender equality in Europe.” Daksh is one of just 25 individuals to be recognised on the Advocacy List and “reflects his long-standing commitment to inclusion and, in particular, to the impact this has on gender diversity within the organisations and sectors he represents.”

Daksh’s desire to drive meaningful change has delivered visible actions and strong advocacy – from establishing Huws Gray Group’s strategic partnership with the Construction Inclusion Coalition (CIC) as a founding partner, to his work with the Auto 30 Club to increase female representation in the automotive sector.

Within Huws Gray Group specifically, Daksh is “driving greater education and awareness around inclusion, as well as expanding access to flexible working to support a more inclusive culture.”

Commenting on the recognition, he said: “I’m proud to be recognised on the Northern Power Women Advocacy List, but this isn’t about reaching a finish line – it’s a signal of progress. I’ve been fortunate to work alongside organisations and networks committed to accelerating inclusion, and I’m proud to continue playing a role in that collective effort.

“There’s more to do, and I’m absolutely committed to helping create work environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive – especially in industries where gender imbalance is still a reality.”

He added: “This recognition aligns with Huws Gray Group’s wider Diversity & Inclusion strategy, which ensures inclusion is embedded in how we operate, grow and make decisions. We’re focused on driving long-term, meaningful change – from inclusive leadership and fair progression to strengthening attraction and retention strategies and listening closely to our colleagues so we can remove barriers where they exist.”

The Northern Power Women Awards will take place on Thursday 12 March in Manchester, celebrating individuals and organisations driving positive change.
