Jewson announces reorganised regional structure

As the business celebrates three years within the STARK Group, Jewson has restructured itself into three divisions in a move designed to “position it for accelerated growth.”

Jewson states that each division is “led by an industry heavy-weight” with Kieran Griffin appointed Divisional Managing Director for Southeast, Central and Wales; Allan Davidson as Divisional Managing Director for Scotland and North; and Andy Jordan appointed as Divisional Managing Director for Jewson in the Southwest.

John Carter, CEO of STARK Building Materials UK, said: “I believe we now have the strongest merchanting leadership line-up in the industry and that I’ve ever worked with. By putting the industry’s heavy-weights into their new positions, our Jewson branch colleagues are now well primed to support customers with everything they need for their projects – as well as having the ‘best coffee in town’.”

In other news from Jewson, the business is set for the official relaunch of its Aberdeen branch (main image) on Friday 6 March following a major refurbishment.

Gordon Strachan, Jimmy Bullard and John Henderson will take on guests in a series of football and darts challenges when the doors open at 7:30am. There’ll be on-the-day deals, giveaways, and supplier demos for local builders and tradespeople to enjoy alongside food and drink stalls and live entertainment from local DJ and TikTok personality, Graeme Strachan.

The branch – located on The Parkway at the Bridge of Don – now stocks thousands of extra products and materials, so builders and tradespeople can find everything they need for their projects in one place, with a huge choice of plumbing and heating materials to choose from, and an extensive UPVC cladding, soffits and fascias range.

Jewson has also expanded its in-branch tool hire offering and appointed a new tool hire manager to help customers.

Customers can now benefit from drive-in loading bays, where timber is kept dry undercover to protect it from the elements, while the new bathroom showroom customers also benefiting from an on-hand specialist.

Following customer feedback during the refurbishment, the existing Jewson Aberdeen team has also grown, with more experts now on hand to support on the branch floor.
