A pair of lucky customers are preparing to make waves this summer after winning an original Fletcher speedboat in a major giveaway from Werner.

The prize draw formed part of the leading ladders and access equipment manufacturer’s biggest-ever presence at this year’s NMBS exhibition and saw Dean and Jay McFadden of specialist tool distributor DJM Direct, based in Nelson, Lancashire, announced as the lucky recipients following two action-packed days at Coventry Building Society Arena.

The speedboat prize draw was open to visitors who placed orders over £500 with the Werner team during the exhibition, generating excitement across the merchant sector and continuing the company’s tradition of memorable NMBS giveaways following the successful giveaway of a classic Ford Escort XR3i in 2022.

Speaking of the win, Jay McFadden said: “We’re absolutely over the moon to have won the boat; it’s an amazing prize! With friends and connections in Abersoch, we’ve got the perfect place to use and store it, so it’s going to mean lots of family days out and great memories. As some readers may realise, the speedboat prize is reminiscent of the giveaways (or not: “Here’s what you could’ve won…”) featured on legendary TV show Bullseye! The Werner stand at the exhibition reflected the brand’s successful ongoing partnership with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), and featured a number of interactive darts-themed activities designed to grab the attention of visitors, and generate some healthy competition with the return of Werner’s popular Gravity Darts challenge.

Visitors who place an order on the stand also had the opportunity to play on a Bullseye-inspired dartboard, with a selection of spot prizes available…
