City Plumbing Supplies has marked the launch of its first Renewables Centre in Wales with an open day for the trade. As part of its existing Carmarthen branch, the facility will provide installers with a dedicated resource for expert advice alongside a wide choice of products.
The ribbon was officially cut at the centre by Councillor Wyn Thomas, the Deputy Mayor of Carmarthen. The event was supported by the attendance of leading suppliers: Nibe, Daikin, Grant, Cloudbrook and Renson, who were on-hand to discuss a broad range of renewable technologies, from heat pumps and biomass to new innovations such as demand controlled ventilation units. They were joined by a team from Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS), another division of Travis Perkins plc, who provided advice and information on its design and estimating service.
As well as being chosen to support the wider customer base in Wales, Carmarthen was identified as an ideal location for the country’s first City Plumbing Renewables Centre due to the high proportion of off-grid properties.
Dominic Maynard, Regional Director at City Plumbing Supplies, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to offer the installers and homeowners of Wales a specialist facility that makes it simple to learn more about renewables and source the best technology for the job from our dedicated renewables team. The open day was a great success and we’re looking forward to making the most of the Renewables Centre by offering customers a wide range of products, backed by the expert services and knowledge offered by SBS.”
