Flexseal says it is set to expand its manufacturing and research & development in the UK as it confirms its rebrand as part of Fernco.
The innovative British brand, which designs and manufactures flexible couplings for the civils and drainage sectors, will be officially renamed under the global Fernco group from August 1st. The move “will allow both Flexseal, based in Barnsley, and US-firm Fernco to continue their commitment to delivering innovation in the market and in particular developing products which support net zero carbon”.
Lee Pashley, Managing Director at Flexseal, said: “Our brand has been built over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the industry and has played a vital role in shaping the way contractors repair and refurbish drainage and sewer pipelines across the globe.
“It is an exciting new chapter for Flexseal as we move forward, and it is important that we embrace our global place in the market. The rebrand in line with Fernco will allow us to continue to focus on supporting innovation in the industry by further unifying the group’s global resources. This is something that remains at the core of the business while we continue to drive market leading products supporting long-term sustainable goals.”
He added: “Our name maybe changing but our great customer service and commitment to British manufacturing will not. The products we have developed and perfected will continue to be made and delivered in the same way with the added support of a global platform.”
Established in 1989, Flexseal designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of fully-approved low and non-pressure flexible couplings. Despite the rebrand, the business remains committed to Made in Britain.
