Gary Rice, of CAP Ceilings and Partitions, has taken delivery of his prize of a Mercedes A220 Motorsport edition following his hole in one at the SIG Speedline Golf Day.
Hosted at the stunning Woburn Club near Milton Keynes in August last year, 36 customers took part in the Ryder Cup style competition which was sponsored by Speedline to celebrate the release of the new Speedline Drywall Systems Manual.
Top golf professionals Oli Leett and Tim Hall were on hand to provide a morning coaching session to all involved, before everyone took to the Marquess course to take part in the days’ competition.
The Marquess course is one of only four courses in the country to be used to stage Final Qualifying for The Open Championships and in October 2015 The British Masters was staged on this course. In its 16 year history no golfer amateur or professional had achieved a hole in one on hole 14.
Making history Gary stunned players and coaches as he hit a hole in one, resulting in him winning the prize of a car worth £30,000 which he took delivery of in February this year. Gary said: “Many thanks to all at SIG Insulation for the help in making this happen and especially SIG for putting up such a wonderful prize. Catch you all soon, I am now off for a drive!”
Speaking on behalf of SIG, Craig Newman, Sales Director for Insulation and Drylining, commented: “It was a great day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pro’s passed on some great advice and we witnessed some great shots across the green, none more so than that of Gary Rice — congratulations to him on his hole in one! ”
