Imperial Bricks reports that it has been awarded ‘Best Social Media Support’ at Jewson Live, whilst the manufacturer is also continuing its growth in the independent sector having joined the IBC Buying Group as a supplier member.
Regarding the Jewson Live Award, the win followed an intense round of voting that included the national merchant’s branches, sales teams, category teams and its Executive team. Imperial was accordingly recognised for its strong partnership with Jewson in helping to expand its range of traditional handmade bricks, regionally-matched to each branch area.
At the annual event, Imperial showcased its range of 50+ traditional handmade, pressed, waterstruck and wirecut bricks, and brick slips. Imperial also exhibited its new Brick Tiles range suitable for interiors/creating authentic interior feature walls.
Jason Hughes, Managing Director at Imperial Bricks, commented: “Our Merchant Team has worked very hard throughout 2018 to provide Jewson branches with tailored support at a regional level, as well as help with brick matching and providing sample boards for brick libraries.
“And, we are always looking at ways to increase engagement with our customers via social media, or with promotional marketing to showcase the range they offer. We are extremely proud of our award and look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come. See you at Jewson Live 2019!”
Continuing its growth with independent builders’ merchant stockists, meanwhile, Imperial Bricks has joined the IBC Buying Group as a supplier member. Established in 2008, IBC began as a London-based buying group, and has since expanded to 180 members UK-wide. With IBC forging close relationships with the BMF, of which Imperial is also a member, independent builders’ merchants can benefit from a strong growth market and Imperial’s expertise in traditional handmade bricks.
Jason Hughes said: “Similarly to IBC’s London beginnings, one of our first bricks when Imperial began in 2010 was the Yellow Stock for the London area. That has since expanded to a 50+ range, regionally-matched throughout the UK, that includes handmade, pressed, wirecut and waterstruck bricks, brick slips and a new Brick Tiles range suitable for authentic interior feature wall installations.”
Kishor Harsiani, Strategy and Finance Director at IBC says: “With over 180 members and 90 suppliers, IBC has some £600m of buying power. We believe in creating great partnerships of strength and value for both our members and suppliers such as Imperial Bricks. Our investment in people is growing year and year and positions IBC to deliver exceptional value.”
IBC members are supported by Imperial Bricks’ Merchant Team, and includes advice on the range, brick matching services, samples for brick libraries, POS displays and much more.
