Manningham launches “major new bathroom and kitchen showroom”

Manningham Concrete has unveiled a new bathroom and kitchen showroom at its Bradford depot – a facility which the h&b merchant member believes is the “biggest and best display” in West Yorkshire.

Following “extensive research”, the Manningham team has collected what it considers to be a comprehensive display of top quality kitchens and bathrooms, stylishly displayed at its HQ at Cemetery Road Bradford. But with a commitment to providing a comprehensive service, Manningham says it goes beyond simply showcasing a wide range of kitchen and bathroom products from brands such as Symphony, Neff, Bosch, Vitra and Grohe.

Instead, the showroom is said to offer a complete experience, from “meticulous measurements and cutting-edge CAD designs to detailed quotations and recommendations for skilled fitters.” Customers can explore a plethora of options and receive expert guidance every step of the way, whilst visitors can even get a preview of the showroom with a unique digital walk-through.

Despite its name, Manningham Concrete offers a comprehensive range of building materials and services, and has become known for its “commitment to exceptional quality and customer satisfaction” with the company having built a strong reputation in the Bradford trade community.

Originally established in the early 1900s to manufacture ash blocks from clinker produced at Lister’s Mill in Bradford, the business expanded its operations to include the production of concrete products. In 1963, Ronnie and George Tomlinson – successful joinery and building contractors, and fathers of the current MDs Alan and Andrew – purchased the firm.

Recognising the company’s growth, a new site on Cemetery Road in Bradford was acquired in 1970, marking the beginning of the development of what is said to be Bradford’s largest independent builders’, timber, and plumbers’ merchant.

Manningham joined the h&b Buying Group in 2008 and since then has been an active member of the group’s Roofing and Insulation Committee, with Alan taking a seat on the h&b board in 2022. The merchant says it values membership of h&b “not just for the great buying deals but the access to the best supplier brands and best practice advice and guidance from the group and fellow independent merchant members.”

Billed as a truly national merchant buying group, h&b boasts combined sales of over £1bn a year though its growing membership of independent builders’ merchants and offers its merchant members “a real opportunity to improve profitability and grow market share.”
