Naylor Concrete marks 50th anniversary with new site

Prestressed concrete lintel manufacturer Naylor Concrete Products is about to officially open a new manufacturing facility in Barugh Green, Barnsley.

Naylor has manufactured lintels since 1965, and states that it has built up its business by concentrating on high performance lintels – the Naylor Hi-Spec, Fire-Spec (fire resistant) and Fair Faced ranges, for instance, are widely specified – and on its “unrivalled” Specials service.

For the last 35 years, the company has operated from a 3 acre leasehold site at Ossett, near Wakefield but space restrictions have restricted growth over recent years. To address this, earlier this year, the company acquired a 9 acre freehold site at Barugh Green, some 10 miles from Ossett and 2 miles from the Naylor Head Office at Cawthorne.

The relocation, which commenced in April 2015, completed recently and an opening ceremony will take place on Friday 4 September. The event has a dual purpose, with the company also celebrating 50 years since its formation.

Helen MacIntosh, Managing Director of Naylor Concrete Products, commented: “We have some excellent new product plans which Ossett’s limited space prevented us from progressing. The new site gives us considerably more manufacturing and storage space; this will allow Naylor Concrete Products to fulfil its growth potential.”
