Merchants and their suppliers have the chance to spend a day out together blasting clay pigeons out of the sky at the inaugural Bob Beaver Memorial Charity Shoot on Wednesday July 15.
Named after the late Bob Beaver, owner of Shropshire Building Supplies, former president of the BMF, board member of NMBS and liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants, the event is open to all participants in the merchant business: manufacturers, distributors and merchants themselves. It’s planned to suit everyone from beginners to experts, with instruction available at all levels, and it’s all in aid of the Rainy Day Trust, the builders merchants’ industry charity.
The venue is the Royal Berkshire Shooting School, near Reading, and the day starts with bacon sandwiches at 9.30, and ends at 4pm with the results and prize presentations. There will be plenty of networking and socialising opportunities throughout the day.
Heavyweight sponsors signed up so far include Akzo Nobel, Crystal, Dickies, IKO, Knauf Insulation, Makita, NMBS and Toolbank and there are still sponsorship opportunities available.
A single place costs just £330, and sponsorship packages are from £3,000. To book a place, or to find out more about sponsorship, contact Michael Dark at mda.mail@virgin.net.
