Sovini Trade Supplies (STS), part of The Sovini Group, has opened a new flagship store and distribution centre to support its continued growth across the North West.
The 2.4 acre site located on Heysham Road in Bootle, Merseyside is now open and the expansion marks the fifth site for the company, enabling STS to build on its “extensive product and service offering”. The centre will support the delivery of multi-million-pound contracts with M&Y, Liberty Group and Sovini Property Services, as well as expanding the provision to meet growing customer demand from both trade and public.
The build and opening of Heysham Road, Bootle comes after an economically challenging year for the UK, as businesses continue to adapt to the effects of the global pandemic. Despite the challenges and obstacles, STS states that the business is “thriving”, providing new employment opportunities to the local area and attracting additional business.
In addition, the Heysham Road site will support STS’ Corporate Social Responsibility pledge, as profits are reinvested into communities through The Sovini Group. The site will also support the Group as it works towards reducing the overall carbon footprint that is associated with business activities. STS, alongside the Group, is working towards net zero and is committed to making a positive difference in environmental management practices.
The company’s business model provides customers with a cost effective supply chain solution based around stock level management and continuous improvements to efficiencies to provide for all building supply needs. Operating and growing annually since launching in 2014, STS will use the new centre as a hub to enhance the company’s inventory, storage capacity, and to make operations hyper-efficient.
