IPG offers website support for its members

The IPG has ‘added online’ to its services for independent plumbing, heating and bathroom specialists as merchant members can now upgrade their online presence with a professional, mobile-friendly website to help increase sales and in-store footfall, for less than the cost of a website design agency.

Earlier in the year, The IPG surveyed and held a workshop for their members on digital marketing. Following that insight, the buying group worked alongside designers and website developers to produce a package that is intended to help members easily and affordably create a professional and bespoke package.

The full package includes:

  • A professionally designed website with the ability to customise parts to reflect individual company branding
  • A core site structure with the ability to add own pages to reflect USPs
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) assistance
  • Website hosting and support
  • Easy-to-use content management system
  • Option to add promotional banners
  • Google Maps integration

Tony Dark, Trading Director of The IPG, said: “A premium, easy to navigate website can add significant value to a business and after speaking to our members we quickly realised that there was a need to provide this. With our new offer we aim to reduce the pressure that comes with website development and management, so our members can focus on what they do best – supplying high-quality product and service to the plumbing, heating and bathroom trade.”

Several members have already signed up to the initiative.

For example, Steve Kendrick, Director of Newline Constructional Supplies, said: “Running an independent business can be manically busy and even important jobs such as managing a website can quickly fall down the priority list. I was grateful when The IPG got in contact about website support, as it takes the pressure off and will bring extra value to my business.”

Paul Barry, Managing Director of Four Ashes, added: “We jumped at the chance to have our website updated by The IPG. We want to ensure that our customers receive the same service online as when they visit the store, and our fresh, new site does just that.”
