Steve Davies has been appointed as SIG Distribution’s new Divisional Sales Director for the North. With 22 years in the industry and an expert in the insulation sector, having spent the last 10 years at the level of sales director, he has worked for some of the most prestigious and well-respected merchant and supplier businesses in the UK.

David Hope, SIG Distribution’s Divisional Managing Director for the North & Scotland, said: “It is great to welcome someone of Steve’s calibre to the company. He is an exceptional addition to the team with a strong heritage in our sector. Initially focusing on the Interiors, Drylining and Structural Insulation parts of the business, Steve will be working with some of our major clients and bringing his valuable knowledge and expertise to the table.”

Tom Holden has joined Klober as an Area Account manager covering North Wales, the North West and the West Midlands. Tom brings with him 15 years’ experience in business development across various areas of the construction industry including in distribution where he built a solid understanding of the entire supply chain through regular engagement with contractors.

Tom will report directly into Commercial Director Chris Nicholls, who was also recently appointed. Chris said: “Tom is a great addition to the commercial team — he has an excellent grasp of our products and will go above and beyond to ensure his customers are happy.”

 

Spärka has expanded its senior management team by appointing Rebecca Fortescue-Halliwell as Marketing Manager. Rebecca brings 13 years of experience within product development and marketing in the construction industry from her previous role at TIMco.

Since she joined the company, Rebecca has been developing new packaging and creating the first Spärka catalogue.

 

The Builders Merchants Federation has appointed Rachel Fryers, Director of Merritt & Fryers in Skipton, as a Board Advisor. Before taking her position in the family firm, Rachel spent almost 20 years as a landscape architect, gaining a breadth of experience within large multidisciplinary infrastructure and construction teams, delivering a wide range of projects from new towns to schools, hospitals and prisons.

Motivated by a desire to see the industry embrace environmentally sustainable practices, Rachel is also a champion of workplace training and education.

 

Azpects has grown its production team, with David Hobrough promoted to the newly-created role of Sales Support Manager with responsibility for overall sales team support, as well as managing merchandising requirements alongside the newly-appointed marketing team.

Additionally, Kerri Skelton has been promoted to Procurement and Logistics Manager, with a focus on purchasing, stock control, and UK and International shipping. Two new operators have also been added to the production team whilst two new members have joined the warehousing team to ensure consistent supply and distribution of Azpects products for the year ahead.

Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) has appointed Tim Bennett as its Partner Alliances Manager, where he will be responsible for accelerating relationships with key partners across the KCS group.

Bringing over 20 years of experience to the role, Tim has successfully executed alliance and channel partner strategies for several large software companies in the ERP, accounting and finance sectors.

Tim said: “I join KCS in a new role for the business, and as it is entering a very exciting next phase of accelerated growth. This was quite simply a perfect opportunity.”
