CMO’s Plumbing Superstore “flows into the plumbers’ merchant market”

As part of the CMO Group’s suite of online building products superstores, online-only plumbing and bathroom products retailer Plumbing Superstore has entered the market with a pledge to “provide all the benefits of a traditional plumbers’ merchant and much more, combining a vast and competitively priced product range with friendly customer service, technical advice and support.”

The new site will provide access to over 100,000 products with the full collection offering first fix plumbing and heating supplies including copper pipe and fittings, plastic pipe and pushfit fittings, water filters, lagging, insulation and accessories, as well as sanitaryware and other bathroom accessories such as vanity units, bathroom cabinets, wall hung basins, bathrooms mirrors, taps and waste sets.

CMO’s latest superstore comes after the company’s recent acquisitions of JTM Plumbing and clickbasin.co.uk, both of which were previously successful privately-owned and operated online retailers and which have now been combined to form the new store. The inclusion of a robust range of first-fix plumbing supplies draws directly on the success of JTM Plumbing’s established business, and the firm says that existing customers will find the same great customer service team alongside new improvements such as increased product choice and improved pricing structures.

As well as offering a variety of plumbing and bathroom supplies through its digital purchase, drop-ship model, Plumbing Superstore also holds a significant amount of stock at JTM Plumbing’s established Darlington base, allowing up to 90% of orders to be fulfilled the next working day.

Plumbing Superstore “will be backed by an expert team” to assist with customer queries whilst the site will also offer help and advice articles aimed at tackling common queries and issues faced by those undertaking plumbing and bathrooms projects.

Commenting on the launch, Darren Whelpton-Smith said: “The UK’s plumbing and bathroom market is growing all the time, but online penetration remains low, especially for retailers offering first fix and final fix solutions. That’s why we believe that Plumbing Superstore has great potential to become a major player among customers who want the convenience and flexibility of online purchasing and home delivery.

“We’re excited to be bringing Plumbing Superstore to market and to continue our mission to revolutionise and modernise the experience of homeowners and tradespeople by providing customers with everything they need to build or maintain a home. We look forward to speaking to new customers and helping them to make their bathroom projects – and their customers’ projects, in the case of our new trade and existing JTM Plumbing customers – a reality.”
