Open ECX has announced that it has joined more than 600 companies across the UK in becoming members of the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF).
The BMF is the active hub of merchant and supplier activity in the UK, working closely with allied industry groups and regulatory bodies such as trading standards and planning departments, to ensure that issues affecting member merchants and suppliers are tackled promptly and effectively. The BMF is an active lobbyist with local and central government in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and has an impressive track record of achievements.
Matthew Jones, CEO of Open ECX, said: “We made the decision to become members of the BMF as we are increasingly being asked to provide electronic trading solutions to UK merchants and their suppliers.
“We’ve found that these businesses are often swamped with paperwork, processing mountains of invoices and purchase orders each and every week, and are looking at ways to make efficiencies wherever possible.
“By joining the BMF we will be able to better understand the wider issues merchants and their suppliers are facing and be able to tailor our solutions to overcome these challenges.”
